And I thought my Commute was Bad

Last week we got some serious snow.  It was the perfect type for making snowmen and snowballs...and also the perfect kind to screw up traffic royally.

It came down fast and before you could say, "please pass the snow shovel," mayhem was everywhere.

I got lucky.  My office is 30 miles away and I still managed to make it home in about 45 minutes. This is what it looked like when I got home. -->

My friend Kiki, wasn't as fortunate.  She only lives 13ish miles from her office and it took her 7 hours to get home.  That's right kids, 7 hours.  Which is equal to the flight time from BWI to LA.  Talk about ridiculous.

The worst part of the story is that more snow is expected this week.  Let's hope the weather folks are wrong (and they usually are) and the storm misses us.  And that the Groundhog helps us out by declaring it will be an early Spring.

Funniest Quote of far...

The Interior Department is in charge of salmon while they're in fresh water, but the Commerce Department handles them in when they're in saltwater. And I hear it gets even more complicated once they're smoked. - Barack Obama

The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination.

"It's been about the sun and the moon. It's been about happy times together. It's been about the shade and the old people and the children. It's been about colors in Fall. It's been about seasons. Isn't that enough?"

Please note...

The choices I've made in my life were reached upon me making the best decisions I could at the time given the information I had.

And really, isn't that how most decisions are reached?

Or does the cheese stand alone?
